Art Therapy Group for Grieving Teens

This is a therapy group that aims to facilitate healing for teens struggling with their grief from any kind of loss (Death loss, chronic illness, separation/divorce, relocation etc.)

Sometimes we can feel "stuck" in our grief which impacts our ability to connect with the world and move forward with our lives. The emotions can be intense and confusing, combined with the challenges of peer relationships, it can feel isolating and lonely as others find it difficult to understand or support.

Through a therapeutic process, our therapists will work with the group and guide us through using art to witness and grieve together. The group can offer much needed connection and witnessing. Together we heal.

Art therapy is a form of therapy that uses the non-verbal and experiential expression of thoughts and feelings through art materials. There will be components of this group that will require individual art expression, sharing and talking with the group, followed with a group art practice. We emphasize this is not an art class and there is no pre-requisite to be a practicing "artist".
