About the event
What is a death café?
A death cafe usually occurs in a café type setting where people gather, have tea or coffee, and small snacks while discussing death related topics.Â
We are providing this safe space virtually to discuss death related questions, share information, and talk about death practices in our communities. Topics are open and varied depending on the group that attends.Â
We will have monitors in place to ensure safe conversation but the group determines the topics.Â
We are able to offer this virtually via Zoom and you will be emailed a zoom link for the event.Â
Registration is open to 12 participants at this time. Depending on the need we may open up to more and have breakout rooms with smaller groups to ensure good converstation.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:
By joining our death café you agree to our terms of conduct and understand that this is not a therapy group. A Death Café is not a bereavement/grief support resource and we refrain from sharing or processing our own losses. Individual therapy and therapeutic groups are offered in other forms at our centre if you need support processing grief or end-of-life challenges.
All participants agree to our codes of conduct.
