A Bit About Me

I am a Registered Psychologist (MSc Psychology, BA Psychology) with focused training in trauma informed, attachment based, and emotion focused care.

I have experience working with adults experiencing anxiety, emotional dysregulation, BPD, trauma, attachment difficulties, interpersonal challenges, grief and loss, ADHD, stress, burnout, and mood related concerns.

Most areas of life include grief and loss. I am here to support you through complex grief, traumatic experiences, ambiguous or disenfranchised grief, and some the most non-death losses of living with mental health challenges.

Emotional regulation is central to my practice and guides my clinical work.

Areas of Support

I work with ages from 16+ through individual therapy. I can support you with complex or traumatic grief and bereavement.

Traumatic Grief

Disenfranchised Grief

Loss of any kind can some times be a very traumatic experience, especially at the end of life. I can help you through this trauma.

I work specifically with professionals that are working within the death and dying fields. This includes nurses, OTs, funeral directors, embalmers, medical doctors, care aides. Vicarious trauma is something that we can experience in these professions.

I can help support you with grief that is traumatic in itself. Sometimes grief is so impactful in our lives it becomes the trauma itself.

This might include pet loss, death loss, suicide loss, traumatic loss, identity changes, anticipatory grief, caregiver support, continuous loss (dementia), non-death losses

Therapeutic Approach

My approach is evidence based and grounded in neuroscience. I integrate CBT, DBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, somatic therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and psychodynamic theory to target core beliefs and support sustained psychological change.

Being trauma-informed also means understanding how trauma affects the nervous system and how this then impacts the grieving process. Meeting you where you at is important in providing you with the care you need.
